Stanley Pharmacy’s little league baseball team made it to the championship games and were scheduled to play a doubleheader this past Wednesday night. The games began at 6:45 and lasted until 10:40. The excitement, however, happened at the end of the second game.
It was the 5th inning. Our boys were down by eight points, but luckily we were last to bat. By hard work and diligence, all of our players were given the opportunity to bat again, which brought the teams to a tie and to the bottom of the 6th inning. We took the field and held the opposing team until it was our turn to bat one last time. Gabe was up. He hit the ball. Will, running as fast as his little legs could carry him, came through safely into home and scored the winning point. They were rewarded with individual trophies and praise from the crowd, especially from their youngest cheerleader and fan, Miles [brother to Parker]. “They never gave up,” stated Miranda Evans, wife to Coach Evans. The picture features most of the players, including little Miles: Wyatt, Easton, Will, Brody, Gabe, Austin, Lawson, Parker, Tristan, Hudson, Caden, A.J., with Coaches Justin and Nick.
Great job, boys! We are so proud of you all!!
